Why We Chose a Thursday Newsletter

With the pandemic affecting how we work, ideas are floating around on what the work week will look like in the future. You might be enjoying remote work, or like some, eager to get back to the office and connect with colleagues face-to-face. With the possibility of a 3-day office work week, we thought Thursday is a perfect day for a Greek newsletter!

Greek Churches Connected

Undoubtedly, our priests and Greek churches in Toronto have managed to keep us close to our community and Orthodox faith. To the best of their ability, they have been offering live stream services of the Greek Orthodox divine liturgy, as well as keeping their social media accounts up-to-date.

Technology cannot replace the physical experience of attending church services. However, it has helped keep us connected during these challenging times. Here is the Panagia Greek Orthodox Cathedral live stream and YouTube channels for three Greek orthodox churches in Toronto.

Greek Orthodox YouTube channels:

  • Panagia Greek Orthodox Cathedral
  • St Demetrios-Greek Community of Toronto
  • Saint George Greek Orthodox Church

Greek + Local

Serano bakery or Select bakery? Live in Scarborough, Kostas bakery might be the closest place for a little something sweet and Greek. We love them all.

Serano and Select have been closed for a few weeks due to covid. We hope everyone and their families are doing well.

Greece Opens Borders

Presenting a negative Covid-19 PCR test or a vaccination completion certificate are just a few of the listed requirements for entry into Greece. Here is the link for the complete list of Protocols for Arrivals to Greece.
