Greek Summer Toronto

Happy Thursday

Visiting Greece isn’t always the easiest thing to do, as taking enough time off work can be challenging. In addition to booking the vacation time, the flight/accommodation/food costs can add up and make going to Greece yearly not always possible.

If you’re spending the summer in Toronto, no need to worry, there is always a way to put a little Greek in your life. As Fr. Fanourios Pappas says: “If we can’t go to Greece, let Greece come to us!”

Summer in Greece BBQ

This Sunday, July 11th, Metamorphosis Church at 40 Donlands Ave (Donlands & Danforth Ave) is hosting a barbeque to raise funds to continue the much-needed repairs of the church. Check out the event flyer on Instagram.

Personal Productivity

Having too much on your plate can make life feel a little overwhelming. With work/school deadlines looming, home/family obligations to fulfill, or even planning a new business venture, getting anything accomplished in full can be tough. Saint Paisios (who we commemorate on July 12th) offers some excellent advice when dealing with too many things at the same time.

Words of wisdom

“As much as possible, one should do one or two things only, do them right, and then with a clear mind and a rested body start working on the next job.” Saint Paisios
