Happy Thursday!
Three more weeks for the school year to begin, and while there is a lot of uncertainty out there, one thing is for sure: streets and businesses will be a lot busier coming September.
Many workplaces are planning for staff to return to the office in September on a minimal basis. There is still talk of a fourth wave, but hospitalizations due to covid are not as high, which gives us some hope that there will be no further lockdowns.
August 16th-St. Joseph the Hesychast (+1959)
This past Monday, we commemorated the falling asleep of St. Joseph the Hesychast, well known as being the spiritual father of Elder Ephraim of Arizona (+2019). St. Joseph the Hesychast lived in remote locations on Mt. Athos to practice a still and quiet life of constant prayer. He is regarded as being responsible for reintroducing the modern world to the Jesus Prayer.
