Καλημέρα, Happy Thursday
Name Days are Easy to Forget
The truth is, unlike our parents and grandparents who remembered almost every name day and holiday, name days can be easy for us to forget.
This coming Tuesday, October 26th, we commemorate Saint Dimitrios (patron saint of Thessaloniki).
If you know a Dimitri, Jimmy or a Dimitra, don’t forget to call and wish them a happy name-day!
How Can I Keep Track of the Saints of the Day?
The Greek Archdiocese of America offers a simple, easy app that includes:
- The saints of the day
- Fasting days
- Prayers
- Daily prescribed scripture readings
Words of Wisdom
“Live simply and without thinking too much, like a child with his father. Faith without too much thinking works wonders. The logical mind hinders the Grace of God and miracles. Practice patience without judging with the logical mind.”
– Saint Paisios
