Καλημέρα, Happy Thursday
We hope everybody enjoyed the past long weekend, and what a weekend it was!
As many of you already know, this past Labour Day, a special Greek event was held at Parkview Manor by Signature Productions, Πανηγύρι 2021.
It was an incredible outdoor event with great weather and a pre-pandemic feeling. Could this be a beginning of an annual Greek Πανηγύρι in Toronto? let us hope so:-)
Back to school
While it is a short week, it’s also been a busy one, with the beginning of the new school year. Many parents are happy to see their little ones reunite with classmates and teachers. We wish all the parents and students Καλή αρχή!
Nativity of the Theotokos
Yesterday, we celebrated the first major feast of the liturgical calendar, the Nativity (birth) of the Theotokos. Not much is known about her early years, as it is not recorded in the New Testament. But we do know that she was born to parents (Joachim & Anna), who were childless until old age.
Words of Wisdom
